Why Does the Motor Only Rotate in One Direction?

1. Examine the motor

Swap A+&A- or B+&B- wiring and check if the direction of rotation of the motor changes.

If both can change the motor's direction of rotation, the motor is normal.

2. Troubleshooting the driver

2.1 Troubleshooting the driver connector

Reinsert and rewire the driver connector and check if the motor returns to normal.
If there is another normal drive, swap the connector from the normal drive to the defective drive and check if the motor returns to normal.

2.2 Troubleshooting the driver

Some drivers can adjust the direction of motor rotation by dial code. Check whether the motor rotation direction changes after adjusting the dial code.

Check whether the 5V/24V dial code on the top of the driver is selected correctly. If the dial code selects 5V and the input voltage is 24V, the internal devices of the drive may be burned out, possibly causing the motor to rotate in only one direction. Cross-test the driver with another functioning drive to check that the driver is functioning properly.

3. Troubleshooting Cables

Check the cable for disconnections or poor contacts.
If there is an extension cable for another normal motor, try replacing it with a normal extension cable and check if the motor returns to normal.

4. Check other areas

Check whether the controller circuit is normal, whether it can send signals normally, whether the signal voltage meets the signal voltage required by the driver and so on.
