How to Determine Whether the Inverter is Damaged and Needs Repair?

The frequency converter controls the operation of the motor by changing the output voltage and frequency. During the use of the frequency converter, if the frequency converter fails, you can check according to the following steps to determine whether the frequency converter is damaged and needs repair:
Prepare maintenance tools: screwdriver, multimeter.

First, you need to check whether the display panel of the inverter is alarming. If it is alarming, you can check and solve the problem according to the alarm fault code in the manual.

If an alarm occurs, you can check and solve the problem according to the alarm fault code in the manual:

Check whether the input voltage of the frequency converter is normal. If the input voltage of the frequency converter is too low or too high, the alarm of the frequency converter may not work properly.

Check whether the output voltage of the frequency converter is normal. If the output voltage of the frequency converter becomes low, the motor will not be able to run.

Check whether the temperature of the frequency converter is too high. When the cooling fan of the frequency converter fails, it will cause an overheating alarm of the frequency converter.

Check whether the start-up running signal and frequency given signal of the frequency converter are normal. The running signal and frequency given signal are necessary for the operation of the frequency converter, both of which are indispensable.

Check the machinery and load to see if the machinery is stuck and whether the load is too heavy.

If the above steps cannot solve the problem, the internal components of the inverter may be damaged and need to be replaced and repaired.

In particular, electricians must follow relevant safety operating procedures when troubleshooting.
