Is a 115/230VAC Switching Power Supply Suitable for a 200V Three-Phase Power Environment?
A 115/230VAC switching power supply can be used in a 200V three-phase industrial power environment, provided it is connected correctly using a single-phase method (one phase + neutral). This wiring approach is common in industrial equipment and effectively utilizes the power supply's wide input voltage characteristics to ensure stable operation.
Power Take-Off Method: Select any one phase (A, B, or C) and the neutral wire (N) from the 200V three-phase power source. This connection provides approximately 115V single-phase voltage, which falls well within the input range of a 115/230VAC switching power supply.

Prohibited Connection: Do not connect the power supply directly across two phases (200V line voltage). Doing so will apply an overvoltage condition, likely damaging the power supply.
Note: If a neutral wire is not available on-site, or if power must be taken from the line voltage, it is recommended to use a three-phase to single-phase isolation transformer. This avoids direct connection and prevents equipment damage.
